George Black started in the building industry in the early 1960’s. Completing a Joinery apprenticeship and moving into the field of Architecture as an Architectural Technician in the mid 1960’s. Studied Architecture at Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh, at the Edinburgh College of Art, receiving an honors degree in 1976 and the qualification of BArch(Hons).
George Black is a Chartered Architect and a corporate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), an associate member of the Royal Institute of Architects in Scotland (RIAS).
The practice was established in Edinburgh in April 1981 offering professional advice and assistance from feasibility to completion for domestic, retail and commercial clients. Clients have the option of a partial service to Design stage, Planning and Building Warrant Approvals, or a Full Service from initial meeting until completion of the project. The architectural design process from conceptual design to design development is undertaken with the use of computer aided design. |
